01Read the prescribed dose
Use the amount and frequency stated on the label and prescription. The volume of one full dropper is not automatically the dose to apply. Do not increase the amount to wet all your hair: the lotion needs to reach the scalp.
02Measure with the pharmacy’s dropper
Our full droppers dispense 0.5 mL. If the prescribed dose is 0.5 mL, one full dropper is needed; for 1 mL, two full droppers are needed. These are measurement examples, not a prescription. Use the dropper supplied with the preparation: different droppers may dispense different volumes. For intermediate quantities or if you do not know how to fill it correctly, ask the pharmacy; do not estimate the dose by eye or convert it to a number of drops.
03Part the hair and apply to the skin
Wash your hands before applying. Unless specifically instructed otherwise, apply to a dry scalp. Part the hair in several lines to expose the skin, then gradually distribute the prescribed dose directly over the areas to be treated. Lotion deposited only on the hair is ineffective for treating the scalp. Avoid letting it run onto the forehead or face. Do not apply extra lotion to compensate for any left on the hair without asking the pharmacy.
04Allow to dry and wash your hands
Let the lotion dry before resting your head on a pillow or wearing headwear. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Wash your hands thoroughly after applying and close the bottle. Follow any specific spreading instructions on the label.
05Do not wash your hair for the first few hours
Refrain from washing your hair for the first few hours after application. Also avoid wetting or rinsing the scalp: washing may remove the lotion before it has acted. If you need to shampoo, do so before applying and wait until the scalp is dry. The exact waiting time before washing depends on the formulation: follow the time specified by the pharmacy for your preparation. If none is specified, ask the pharmacy.
06If you have questions or irritation
If intense burning, persistent irritation or other symptoms occur, contact the pharmacy or doctor before continuing. If lotion gets into the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water; seek medical help if symptoms persist. For storage and the use-by date, follow the label and consult the GAL-02 guide.
Part the hair, reach the skin, follow the dose and let the lotion act.
This guide accompanies your preparation’s individual instructions. Dose, frequency, treatment duration and waiting time before washing must be those specified for your formulation.
